Crystal came to me about a year ago asking to get a book cover portrait and a headshot. What she got was soo much more than that!!! Go Behind the Scenes of her full experience and the product reveal above.
ABOUT THE BOOK
Oftentimes, our single years are held hostage to the speed traps of life. The poison from the constant infusion of noise, busyness, and distraction can overshadow the voice of silence in singlehood and castrate its sent purpose in our lives. This book gives a refreshing outlook on the true purpose of silence and how to harness its power and beauty to enrich, empower, and equip you to become your best self.
About Crystal Greene
Crystal Greene is an author, entrepreneur, and influencer.
Crystal Greene is the founder of Esther’s Watch Inc., a nonprofit organization catered to the advancement, education, and empowerment of women. Pregnant at 14 with a 4.0 GPA, her life took a spin towards rebellion. 14 years later, an encounter with God birthed a revelation about singleness that would change her life forever.
She believes that your single years should be one of the most fruitful and productive seasons in life. It is with this passion that she aims to educate singles against pitfalls and mistakes sent to rob many along this glorious journey and how to avoid its temptation and trap.
Book Cover Behind The Scenes Photoshoot
Crystal was referred to Allie Serrano Portraits by a mutual client. Her wish was to capture a magazine-style portrait for the cover of her upcoming book as well as a new headshot. And as with any of our clients, she had a choice to do a quick mini headshot session or a full photoshoot experience. Because Crystal does not get photographed every day, she opted to enjoy this full experience and opted for the full luxury photoshoot.
The first thing that we did was a consultation. This is a part of any session. It is important for Allie to meet and connect with every person she photographs. This is when we also start designing your portrait from top to bottom.
Then we went to find the right outfits for Crystal. The first stop was to meet a wardrobe stylist and a men’s clothing designer Ricc Rollins, the owner of Riccardos.
And even though Ricc is a menswear designer, he is also well connected in the entertainment world and the best person to get us a hook-up to a women’s fashion designer for Crystal’s photoshoot.
This turned out to be the right move because we got connected to Elizabeth Carson Racker, a womenswear fashion clothing designer, and picked out several of her outfits for Crystal to try on. We ended up using 2 of her pieces during the photoshoot as well as one outfit from Urban Native Company.
After accessories and other coordination, we were ready to move forward with the photoshoot. Crystal brought her assistant Donna and the makeup was done by Thea with Enhanced Makeup Artistry and I have to say, Crystal looked absolutely amazing!
Allie photographed Crystal in 3 different looks, we used flowers as well to enhance the yellow gold outfit, and gave Crystal not only a glamour portrait, but also a headshot, and a branding portrait for her book cover. everything came together beautifully. We were all excited about the results 🙂

My name is Allie Serrano and I am the owner of Allie Serrano Portraits, LLC. I was born in the heart of Europe in the Czech Republic. It is a land filled with rich country, history, and romanticism, a place where things are handcrafted, one-of-a-kind art, heirloom antiques are created and celebrated. This world continues to influence me to this day. As a little girl, I loved playing dress-up with my sister. I grew up having read hair and I was bullied for that.
