Thasha came to me to create a portrait of her, celebrating her Ethiopian-Indian heritage. From what she knows, a part of her ancestors came from India prior to moving to Ethiopia. So with having two such strong cultures on the one side of her lineage, we decided to create two portraits. This one focuses on her Indian side. Looking back into her family I can see that she comes from a strong and resilient line of women and she herself is quite amazing. Never forget where you come from. Looking back and celebrating your heritage from will strengthen who you are today. What is your heritage?
