Beaches and Sunshine

Whether at sunset on the beach or in a garden, the state’s natural beauty adds a special touch to every picture. Families can enjoy being together while the photographer captures relaxed, candid moments in the pleasant weather. And in the later part of the year, when it is not so humid outside, it is much easier on everyone as well to be photographed. Sometimes we can even bring small pets with us and capture the whole family.

Parks and Greenery

Parks and green backgrounds are probably the most forgiving locations to photograph a family. The green luscious background and flowers often make for a pretty portrait and
there are many pretty parks I can take a family to. It is such a popular location, that I only take a family to a park if we have no other option and or if it makes sense for the family to be photographed there. If it doesn’t fit your family, let’s find a location that does.

Pets and Furry Children

Then comes the question of who do we include into the family portrait. With my fiancé Pierre we have 4 cats together. And so, for us a family portrait always includes our furry children as well. As you can see from these portraits above, I have photographed dogs, cats, chickens, horses, birds, and more into a family portrait. The best part is, not all children behave and some dogs or cats can be very finicky to photograph, but I have techniques that can bring just about anyone into a portrait.
