I have something to admit to you all. When I started my photography as a hobby over 16 years ago, I had NO IDEA that I will be where I am today.
In my early days, some of my first portraits were self portraits. captured my first portrait. I didn’t have anyone around to take a picture of and I wanted to practice before I bring a human in front of my camera. I’ve been drawn to the camera because it was an extension of pencil drawing art that I’ve been into since I was a child. With pencil drawings, I could never get the faces right. So when I discovered the camera, I was in love with the new form of art that would allow me to capture a person’s expression and their soul.
But, I had no idea what to do next. I didn’t know how to use the camera, how to properly light my subjects properly, how to frame them, pose them, how to tell the story, I had no skills what so ever.
Today I own my own business, I have grown a huge amount since the first day, and this year for the first time I have gotten enough courage to submit images to The Portrait Masters. A professional portrait photographer awards and accreditation where only the portrait masters live and learn.
