Are you pregnant and expecting a child? I’d love to inspire you with a maternity portrait and schedule a pregnancy photoshoot of you with your newborn child. Let’s talk about why should you get maternity portraits done, how you’d like to be photographed, when should you schedule your pregnancy photoshoot, and what if you already have other children.
Maternity Portrait Photoshoot
Maternity portraits are a celebration of the precious new life growing within, otherwise known as pregnancy photos. A portrait of a mother with her unborn child is a treasure, a miracle of life. It should be celebrated. It should be cherished. It is worth millions and it is our pleasure to capture one of you.
Let’s discuss some things about maternity photos and why should you get them done.
Why should I have maternity photos done?
You and your child are creating a special bond. You are a mother. You love your child and will do anything for your baby. This portrait, a maternity portrait, will be your first portrait of you with him or her. When your child looks back one day, seeing a pregnancy photo of you will mean the world to him or to her. It will be a family treasure one day.
When should I schedule my pregnancy photoshoot?
If you’re counting by weeks, schedule your session when you’re around 30 weeks pregnant. If you take maternity photos after your eighth month of pregnancy, your maternity might be uncomfortable. You want to avoid taking photos when your belly feels too heavy, usually after 35 weeks. Also, start planning your maternity photoshoot about a month or two ahead. We want to make sure you are ready for the photoshoot along with everyone who will participate.
What should wear for my portrait?
This is the fun part. We have dresses and gowns available for you in the studio so if you have absolutely nothing to wear, we got you covered. Also, Allie – the photographer and the owner of Allie Serrano Portraits – will personally be in touch with you to guide you throughout the entire process. She will help style you and direct the process so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
What if I already have other children?
If you already have other children and this would be your first time getting maternity portraits done with a professional photographer, some moms have expressed that their other children would feel sad that they don’t have their own maternity portraits. Why not then do a photoshoot with you, your unborn child, and all your other children together? I can see this being an incredible portrait you and your family will cherish.
If you have any other questions, let’s schedule a consultation and Allie will be very happy to personally answer any questions you might have.
About Allie Serrano
My name is Allie Serrano and I am the owner of Allie Serrano Portraits, LLC. I was born in the heart of Europe in the Czech Republic. It is a land filled with rich country, history, and romanticism, a place where things are handcrafted, one-of-a-kind art, heirloom antiques are created and celebrated. This world continues to influence me to this day.
As a little girl, I loved playing dress-up with my sister. I grew up having read hair and I was bullied for that. So, it is not surprising that today as a portrait photographer I have a burning desire to lift the confidence in everyone I meet, to change the world through beautiful portraits, to impact the world around me, and to tell the stories of the most incredible people I meet along the way. I can’t wait to meet you and tell your story with a portrait
