A Boudoir is a Portrait of Your Love

Do you love yourself? Do you love someone else? A boudoir Photoshoot is a portrait of the love you have within you

The word “boudoir” means a woman’s bedroom or private room.

The word portrait means a painting or drawing of a person depicting the face or head or a representation or impression of someone or something.

So, combine that together, a boudoir portrait is an impression of a person as they would in their bedroom or private room.

And because women usually show their true self in a private space, you get to see how they truly are, their true soul. The love they have for themselves without any fakeness or social boundaries. Thus, it captures the love you have for yourself deep within you.

Moreover, if you love another person, a boudoir portrait can capture that too.

Allie Serrano Portrait’s interpretation of a boudoir portrait is very classy and very real. This is why we call it Classy Boudoir Portrait because Allie doesn’t photograph any of your private parts. We don’t often even focus on your face much as we would with a regular portrait or headshot.

This kind of portrait is about your love for yourself. How do you see yourself? Do you hide away from the world? Do you stand proud? Are you shy? Are you in love with someone and want that to show?

Think of it as a dance. A dancer doesn’t necessarily talk. Actors talk, but dancers focus just on their movement. With their non-verbal communication or body movement they tell a story. This is exactly what I do with a boudoir portrait. I tell your story with body movement focused on your love.

Having a boudoir portrait captured can be very intimidating. Having a regular photoshoot done is already intimidating enough, but having a boudoir photoshoot captured is even more so because the camera is focused on the most inner parts of you. And if you are very shy or not as comfortable with the focus being on you, it can be downright uncomfortable.

Some people compare a boudoir photoshoot to going to a dentist. You need both and both are just as uncomfortable and when it’s done, you are the happiest person in the world.

Do not worry. We have you covered. Not only Allie is amazing with connecting to her clients, who let’s be honest become friends by the end of the photoshoot, but she will also guide you every step of the way. Allie photographs real people, and not just models. Unless you are professionally trained to know modeling and posing your own body to look great in photographs, you will not have to know posing or modeling or even how to stand or move, or what to wear or …. We got you. We will walk you through every step of the way.

So, here is to Loving Yourself More 🙂

About Allie Serrano

My name is Allie Serrano and I am the owner of Allie Serrano Portraits, LLC. I was born in the heart of Europe in the Czech Republic. It is a land filled with rich country, history, and romanticism, a place where things are handcrafted, one-of-a-kind art, heirloom antiques are created and celebrated. This world continues to influence me to this day. As a little girl, I loved playing dress-up with my sister. I grew up having read hair and I was bullied for that. So, it is not surprising that today as a portrait photographer I have a burning desire to lift the confidence in everyone I meet, to change the world through beautiful portraits, to impact the world around me, and to tell the stories of the most incredible people I meet along the way. I can’t wait to meet you and tell your story with a portrait 🙂
